We were already so excited to report that the fancy new bullet trains traveling between Beijing and Shanghai have free wifi… because what could be better than free wifi?

Super comfy sleeper beds! That’s what.

The new high-speed train that shuttles commuters between the capital and Shanghai features double-decker sleeper cars. And though we haven't had the chance to try them out for ourselves, rumor has it the beds are super comfy.

The D311 – which is being referred to as a “moving hotel” – made its first trip from Beijing South Railway Station to Shanghai Railway Station on Saturday at 9.16pm.

Each bed is located in an individual compartment, meaning passengers get more space and more privacy. The compartments feature tables, outlets, lamps, hangers and curtains.

The trains travel at a speed of 250km/h and can carry up to 880 passengers. The new model was also designed to be quieter and smoother than other trains.
